To apply for aid from Ohio Wesleyan, follow these steps.
1. Submit Your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) (www.fafsa.ed.gov) to the Federal Student Aid Processor. File as soon after January 1 as possible but prior to March 1. Applications for financial aid which we receive after March 1 are subject to late filing penalties and the availability of institutional funds.
2. If you wish to apply for institutional aid, complete the institutional application. Parts I and II of this form are available on line at www.owu.edu/admission/finaid or in Part Two of the admission application. Also apply for any state funds you can use in Ohio. You might explore local aid possibilities from civic groups, churches, etc. or from on-line searches such as fastweb.com. Notify us of assistance you receive before or after we prepare your initial package. No package, by law, may exceed your need.
3. List Ohio Wesleyan as a College to Receive Your FAFSA. Our FAFSA code is #003109. Our staff will review all data in order to estimate your need.
If you demonstrate eligibility and submit your forms on time, you'll receive an aid award letter describing your initial package, shortly after your admission notification. If your information is late, you'll receive our response when the form has been reviewed. You needn't respond to our admission offer before receiving your aid award.
Acceptance of aid requires a $400 enrollment deposit--usually by May 1--which may be returned at graduation or when withdrawal is properly completed in accordance with procedures established by the Office of the Registrar. The enrollment deposit is not refundable if you do not enroll. |
